Nipawin & District Regional Park

World-Class Fishing

The Nipawin and District Regional Park (NDRP) is a fisher’s paradise, offering the best Walleye fishing in North America. Cast from shore or take to the waters to enjoy an idyllic fishing experience. For the competitive, there are several fishing tournaments throughout the season.

Camping

The park features 69 Seasonal sites, 44 Full Service sites, 11 Semi Service sites with 30 amp, 59 semi service with 20 amp with fire pits, picnic tables and plenty of space to relax in.The NDRP is the first choice for many campers that are return campers and first time campers.  For more information about the campground click here.

Picnic Areas

With more than 30 picnic sites, the NDRP is a great place to bring the family for a day of outdoor fun. The picnic area features fire pits, tables, camp kitchens and ample parking. A day facility hall/Chalet with equipped kitchen (Fridge & Stove) available and can accommodate up to 50 people. Camp kitchens and the Chalet can be reserved and must be made well in advance (often several months) by calling 306-862-3237.

Playground and Spray Park

The NDRP is a family-friendly facility. A new playground and 2,800 square foot spray park were added in 2011 and have quickly become a favourite destination for young families. There are also horseshoe pits and a stocked trout pond which has been upgraded.

Barnyard Zoo

Visit a variety of barnyard animals including goats, rabbits, peacocks, chickens, and cats. A favourite with the kids are the goats. Oreo, pictured below, is a black and white pigmy goat.. Oreo is a young male full of energy and excitement.

Walking Trails

The park features an extensive network of hiking trails, great for photographers, bird watchers and anyone who enjoys spending time in the unspoiled outdoors. In season, the park is a natural fruit farm offering saskatoon berries, blueberries, pin cherries, choke cherries and more.  For the outdoor enthusiast our network of hiking/Interpretive trails offers you a great adventure. The hiking trails have been widened and trimmed back. The hiking trails in winter become groomed cross country ski trail.  

Twin Marine Fishing Guide and Boat Rentals are located in the Nipawin Regional Park at the Rivers edge.  Twin Marine has a store, ice cream,  deck facing the River, boat rentals, fishing bait, guiding services and fishing licenses.  For more information call (306) 862-BOAT (2628) or  visit their website

Cabins

Located within the park, Reel’em Inn cabins are modern, fully equipped, wheelchair accessible and located in a naturally treed area. Houseboats

A variety of houseboats are available for daily or weekly rental. Every houseboat is equipped with washroom, showers, bar-b-q’s, lawn chairs, a furnace, and cooking utensils & dishes. Winter Activities

The NDRP is a great place to enjoy the outdoors even when the temperature falls below zero. Snowy winters make the park a great place to snowshoe, cross country ski, and toboggan down the hill.
